From the Pastor
I would like to take this time to welcome you as a new member of Throne of Grace. I truly thank God for you and the Holy Spirit for leading you to join! I look forward to serving our newfound family members and want you to know that, as your Pastor, I want to have a close spiritual family with all members in the anointing of God's word.
Faithfulness is counted by God above all things. Your support, prayers and many other Fruits of the Spirit attributes will enhance the whole body of Christ here at Throne of Grace. Throne of Grace is a church of Word and Praise.
I am thankful for your willingness to follow and support the vision that God has established. Every member is important to me as God adds to the church. I want to encourage you to be lead by the Holy Spirit.

Rev. Dr. M.H. Russell
Reverend Dr. Melvin H. Russell is founder and pastor of Throne of Grace Baptist Church. He is also founder of Musicians for Christ, a gospel recording group that has traveled to over 38 states.
Rev. Dr. Russell is married to the lovely Barbara. During their 37 year marriage, God blessed them with two children: a son, Torie, and a daughter, Lakeishia. God has also blessed them with eight grandchildren.
Rev. Dr. Russell attended Long Beach College in Long Beach, California, receiving a degree in Computer Operations and Business. He attended Metrolina Seminary of Shaw University and New Life Bible College. He received his doctorate degree from Agape Bible College and Seminary in 2003.
Rev. Dr. Russell received the "Stop the Violence" award in Newbury, NY, in 1994. He also received an award from former mayor Richard Vinroot for the "Stop the Killing" campaign in Charlotte, NC. Since 1999, Rev. Dr. Russell has served as the vice president of Agape Bible College and Seminary.
First Lady Barbara Russell is the God-given wife of Rev. Dr. M.H. Russell for more than 37 years. First Lady Russell obtained her education from North Mecklenburg High School and Central Piedmont Community College. She also attended Long Beach City College and San Fernando Valley Mission College. She has taught school for more than 25 years.
As First Lady of Throne of Grace, Mrs. Russell welcomes all members to Throne of Grace. She is supportive of Rev. Dr. Russell in every way. First Lady Russell wants you to know that Throne of Grace is a loving church where you will receive an anointed Word from the Man of God. She is willing to reach out to all in support of the vision that God has given Rev. Dr. Russell.
First Lady Russell is an anointed and gifted musician that uses her talent to fulfill praise and give God GLORY!
